Hello,

Today during a gvg my account was permanently banned, I got kicked out of the gvg and when i tried to reconnect, i was banned. I can only guess why this happened. Perhaps becouse moments before we went in the gvg I borrewed a Voltiac Spear from a guildy? I would love to get some answers as to why I am banned.

Please send me the reason why I have been banned.

regards,
XXXX

Dear GM,

After your previous responce, I have carefully read the code of conduct again, and I think a serious error has been made.

The bannable offence that came the closest to what you described was, and I quote:

" Selling services of any kind—including such things as "runs" through portions of the game—for real-world currency."

I did not do this, you see, I "Sold" 10 fame, for ingame money, which is not real-world currency.
You can compare this with people running you through missions.

If selling fame for ingame money is a bannable offence can you please qoute the part of the code of conduct which sais so.

I hope you will read this in time, and that you give me an answer, becouse I really want to play this months mAT.

Kind Regards,
XXXXXXXXXXXXX
EDIT:There is no warning on guru about this.

(a) NC Interactive reserves the right to suspend or terminate this Agreement (including your Software license and your Account) immediately and without notice if you breach this Agreement or [...] chat or any player activity whatsoever which is, in our sole discretion, inappropriate and/or in violation of the spirit of the Game(s) as described in the Rules of Conduct.

IN EULA :
"You may not post or link to any sexually explicit, harmful, threatening, abusive, defamatory, obscene, hateful, or racially or ethnically offensive imagery or content."
Uncovered head or uncovered woman face is clearly an offense and bannable.

"You may not violate any local, state, national, or international laws or regulations." Lol ?

"While participating in Plaver-vs-Player (PvP) gameplay, you will not participate in any form of match manipulation. Match manipulation is defined as any action taken to fix or manipulate the outcome of a match or alter or manipulate the rankings or ratings of the ladder. This also includes disrupting other people's game experience by not actively participating in matches in good faith, a.k.a leeching."
well, if you go afk in HA for an emergency you will be considered as leeching and get banned. all FA and JQ leechers are getting bannable...

This might be look good. But the way they are applying bans is distasteful and just giving worse and worse reputation.

How is paying to, basically join a higher ranked team, a bannable offense. That is beyond ridiculous but par for the course from Anet imo.

I see the offense as hurting credibility of ranks.

Too bad, you was the first one they decided to ban WITHOUT warning, since it had been TOLARATED for a long time thus commonly accepted as NOT bannable.

Will people who GETS fame also be banned for this?
Also, could someone from ANET staff confirm that this is bannable?

Anet has gone beyond retarded, targeting this rather than sync champ farming.

I really don't see how its bannable honestly. Its HA there is no ladder only fame and chest to be gained. Even though buying titles has been on the rise and kinda annoying.
Champ points may be more legitimately banned since it has a ladder.

Like op said its like buying runs through the game, thats more afkness than fame farming.

Champpoints are not any more legitimate for bans.

""While participating in Plaver-vs-Player (PvP) gameplay, you will not participate in any form of match manipulation. Match manipulation is defined as any action taken to fix or manipulate the outcome of a match or alter or manipulate the rankings or ratings of the ladder. People paying for champ points, unless they are leeching, are doing NONE of these things. No one is manipulating the ladder, indeed the whole point of champ point farming is to win... which is always everyone's objective. I'm not sure how it's disruptive to anyone else's gameplay in the match. Do you really care if that guy bloodspiking during double champ weekend is paying for his champ points? Is it DISRUPTING YOU?

OH GOD. I CAN BARELY PLAY THE GAME ANYMORE BECAUSE THAT GUY IS PAYING 50K PER CHAMPPOINT. MY GAME JUST KEEPS SHUTTING OFF RANDOMLY BECAUSE OF HIM.

Basically, Anet wants to shoehorn this piece in, but instead of making a new EULA with you know, actual provisions that say "PLAYERS CANNOT BUY FAME OR CHAMP POINTS" they'd rather just ban people without warning. COOOOOL.

Double post FTW!!

On-topic: if you can argument your way by means of the EULA, you will certainly be able to get yourself unbanned (the mod should already be blushing for doing something not on the EULA). And if they banned you for something not on the EULA, good lawyers don't cost that much and you can sue their ass off. No joking about that.

Anyway i dont care if they unbann me or not this post is just potential warning to all guys offering this service,to prevent massive ban for no reasons.

It would be nice to see a specific rule for services, instead of leaving it to Support GM #34516's interpretation of a rule that deals with real life money. That way they might, you know, get the right people reported to them? At the very least, flag permaban actions to a senior GM for review.

Good thing they don't care about syncers in RA/TA, commander point farmers in HB, champ syncers in GvG, or widespread bots in JQ/FA/AB/PvE. Some of those are clearly against more than one rule in the EULA, while this violates just one based only on a loose interpretation that could be applied to the majority of players in this game.

I guess you got banned because to0mz really is serious business.

Edit: Keep replying to the ticket demanding the issue be elevated to a senior GM.

Your thread doesn't offer a service. This really isn't a service..thus the thread should be closed. I'm sure the mod will get to it soon enough. It should really be in riverside or somewhere.

But.... it's sorta crappy to have someone pay to be on your team. Could you imagine what RA/TA would be like if R8+ glads started syncing RA or doing TA and having 4th person pay for each glad point? It's the same thing.

Therefore I agree with Cataphract

It should be in Riverside, but...

Anyway, if the players are still playing, there's nothing wrong with it.

Correct - I am moving this thread from Ventari's into Riverside.

Please keep the thread clean & relevant.

Personally, I'd like to see more confirmation and verification of this. This is the first I've heard of it.

You should be sorry taking pleasure out of other people's misery just because they have more than you do/will have.

To the OP, I really feel for ya, I've never bought fame or champ points but in no way should it be a bannable offence. Anet totally screwed this up
